What does it look like for me to share my testimony through The Walk?
The Walk has created a designated space online *specifically* for sharing testimony at thewalkstories.com. Sharing testimony can be done in three simple steps:
1. Create an account on thewalkstories.com
2. Write your testimony
3. Submit your testimony as a post to the main feed or on your profile (posts made in either location will populate both the main testimony feed and your profile).
What is a testimony?
A testimony is a personal experience of how someone has experienced God working in their life. A testimony typically involves some of the following:
- How someone came to their faith in Jesus
- How someone's life has changed since they started pursuing their relationship with Christ
- How someone has experienced an answered prayer or has seen God move in a divine way
Tips for writing my testimony?
Writing your testimony is an awesome way to reflect on how God has moved in your life. We understand that for some, this task can feel like a big undertaking. We are here to help. Below are a handful of thought provoking questions, statements and reminders to help you get started:
- When did you first start pursuing your faith? What sparked that pursuit?
- Testimony is based solely on what God has done for us (not anything we did on our own). When has God shown up for you when things were out of your own control?
- What did your life look like before you pursued your relationship with Jesus? How does it look different today?
- Including scripture is a great way to remind your audience where they can look for their own personal help. Often, people won’t do the digging to figure out what your named verse is, so don’t shy away from writing the full verse out.
